I’m proud to be an Alaskan, and I hope to earn your vote next year to represent House District 22 in Juneau for another two years.
I recently retired from a 5+ year career as a Planner with the Mat-Su Borough. As a Planner, I focused on the efficient use of land and resources within the Borough. I also worked closely with the public and policy makers to design plans for land use that helped communities meet their goals.
An educator for most of my career, I care deeply about increasing education funding and creating opportunities for our students. I spent 25 years teaching middle school science and earned a degree in natural resources science. I’m proud to have worked union jobs for my entire career.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside, including hiking, hunting, fishing, running, biking, paddling, skiing, and gardening. I also spend as much time as possible with my wife and our dogs, who I train and hunt with.
I grew up in rural America where I learned the value of hard work, community, and giving back. I strive to bring that same can-do attitude to Juneau, and work hard to create rational and effective government for the people of Northeast Anchorage.
Thank you,
Ted
